Keto Cobb Salad with Homemade Ranch Dressing
Are you looking for a filling hearty salad that will keep you full for hours and tastes fantastic? Great! You’ll love this Keto Cobb Salad with Homemade Ranch Dressing.
Just like Keto Chicken Salads, Cobb salads are an American staple. Full of chopped lettuce, crispy bacon, sliced chicken, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, avocados, green onions and blue cheese crumbles topped with homemade ranch dressing! Yum!
Besides my Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Soup, this is one of my favorite salads. If you haven't tried Cheeseburger soup, you'll have to give it a try. It tastes like a cheeseburger in a bowl!

Are Cobb Salads Keto-Friendly and Low Carb?
Yes! Cobb salads are a fantastic low carb meal. Full of protein, low carbs, and high fiber.
This recipe adds extra good-for-you fats by adding extra bacon and avocado. A little extra blue cheese or sharp cheddar cheese, if you prefer alongside a rich ranch dressing, easily makes this a keto-friendly low carb salad.
One full serving of this salad only has 7 net carbs, 57 grams of fat and 41 grams of protein!
Can Cobb Salad be Meal-Prepped?
Absolutely! Just add the ingredients into smaller cups and you’ll be good to go. I even include the homemade ranch dressing in different to-go cups like these.
What other Proteins can I add to a Cobb Salad?

While this recipe calls for chicken, which is a traditional favorite in Cobb Salads, you can mix and match or completely change proteins.
Here are a few examples of Keto Low Carb proteins:
Turkey | Pork Tenderloin |
NY Strip | Ribeye |
Salmon | Shrimp |
What Dressing is Best for Cobb Salad?

Traditionally Cobb salads are traditionally served with a red-wine vinaigrette, but I’ve enjoyed Cobb salads with multiple dressings.
For this recipe, I’m using my homemade ranch dressing, which gives it that extra zing when you’re eating your Cobb salad.
Other options for dressings are blue cheese, thousand island, balsamic vinaigrette or any style ranch dressing.
I have a friend who loves a pesto dressing with her Cobb salad.
Pro Tips for Making the Perfect Cobb Salad
1. Use your favorite lettuce. While I use romaine for this recipe, you can mix and match lettuce. Crispy iceberg? Butter lettuce? There are so many options to choose from. Or mix two types of lettuce together.
2. Save your avocados until you’re ready to eat your salad. When you’re ready, then slice them to add to your salad.
3. Wait to add the homemade ranch dressing until you’re ready to eat. This way you can control the amount of dressing.
