Ingredient Notes
Whole Wheat Flour - Whole-wheat flour can be used to make homemade dog treats, and it's a popular choice as well. It contains a protein called gluten which, depending on the dog (and the household), can trigger allergies. If your dog suffers from grain intolerance, choose a gluten-free dog flour.
Oatmeal - Besides fiber, oatmeal contains vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. When oatmeal is served moderately, dogs can benefit from it. It contains significant amounts of soluble fiber, which controls blood glucose levels and helps dogs with irregular bowl movements.
Egg - Used as a binder to hold the ingredients all together.
Beef Bone Broth - Dogs can benefit from bone broth because of its high nutrient content. Besides vitamins and minerals, it contains protein, glycine, collagen, and glucosamine. Besides hydrating, it also soothes. Dogs love the flavor and find it easy to digest.
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F. Combine whole wheat flour and oatmeal. Measure beef bone broth and add egg, slightly beat together. Add to dry mixture.
- Once ball forms, roll out on lightly floured surface and roll to ¼ inch thickness. Cut with desired cutter.
- Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Let Cool and treat your fur baby.
